Empowering Lives Through Support and Community Resources
For individuals living with mental illness or in poverty, maintaining permanent housing requires more than just a place to live—it requires the skills and support to navigate daily life and access essential community resources.
Mercy Haven offers a range of support programs designed to help participants develop life skills, financial management, and self-sufficiency, ensuring long-term stability. In addition, we provide educational resources and community outreach to foster greater understanding of mental illness and poverty, helping to reduce stigma and promote inclusivity. Together, we can create stronger, more supportive communities for all.
Mercy Advocacy Program (MAP)
Mercy Haven’s legal advocacy program was established in 1997 to respond to the civil legal emergencies of Mercy Haven residents. The Mercy Advocacy Program ensures that our participants receive all the income support they are eligible for from the local, state, and federal government. It also ensures their access to healthcare and basic nutrition. MAP also works for systemic change to protect those who are homeless, living with mental illness, or living in poverty.
