Opening Doors to Hope and Opportunity
Mercy Haven provides temporary and permanent housing and vital support services to those in need across Long Island. Since 1985, we have been a non-sectarian, not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering stability, dignity, and independence for individuals facing homelessness, mental illness, and other challenges.
We strive to build a community where diversity and inclusion are valued, and every person has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Through experience, innovation, and compassionate care, we open pathways to housing, employment, and a brighter future.
We invite you to learn more about our mission, explore volunteer and partnership opportunities, and join us in making a lasting impact. Thank you for your support!

Our Mission Statement:
Mercy Haven’s mission is to acknowledge the dignity and potential of people who are homeless, living with mental illness or living in poverty by providing housing, advocacy, education & life skills development.
Every morning when I get up, I look around the apartment. It still seems surreal. Sobriety. A roof over my head. A good community. I want to thank you, Sister Pat — for being here, for what you do.
