Whether you are a long time Mercy Haven supporter or a first-time donor, we thank you for acknowledging the dignity and potential of people who are homeless, living with mental illness or living in poverty.

There are many ways to give:

  • Monthly Giving

    Mercy Haven’s Monthly Giving program is an easy and convenient way to support the agency’s work all year round. This automated giving program allows donors to regularly contribute an amount of their choosing via credit card payment or direct debit from their personal or business checking account. Click Donate Now to enroll online at or call our office to request an enrollment form.

  • Matching Gifts

    Many businesses and corporations offer matching gift programs, whereby they will contribute to non-profits supported by their employees. These programs allow a donor to increase the size of their gift by 50%, 100% and sometimes more! Check with your company's human resources or community relations department to find out if such a program exists at your place of employement. Once you obtain the matching gift information and complete the employee portion, forward your dontation to Mercy Haven. We'll complete the non-profit organization's portion of the matching gift application and watch your generosity grow!

  • CFC Campaign

Mercy Haven is an approved participant of the Long Island Combined Federated Campaign (CFC), the only authorized solicitation of federal employees on behalf of charitable organizations. This campaign allows federal employees on Long Island to support Mercy Haven through a payroll deducation. Federal employees can designate Mercy Haven as the recipient of their donation by entering Mercy Haven's CFC number on their pledge form along with the amount he or she wishes to donate.  Mercy Haven's CFC number is 38011.

  • Gifts of Appreciated Stock
    Those who own stock that has appreciated might find this method of sharing their financial resources to be convenient. Federal tax laws allow a charitable deduction for the full market value of appreciated securities on the date of your gift. In addition, the donor pays no capital gains tax on the appreciated asset.To receive the tax benefits of this type of donation, the stock must be transferred by the brokerage directly to Mercy Haven. Contact Mercy Haven's Development Office or your financial advisor for more information.


  • Gifts from your Will/Planned Giving
    There are a number of estate planning and planned giving options available that are beneficial to both the donor and Mercy Haven. These include arranging for a bequest from your will, making a gift of life insurance, and creating a revocable or irrevocable trusts or annuity. For more information about these options, please contact our Development Office or your financial advisor.


  • In-kind Gifts/Gifts of Services

Mercy Haven uses donations of goods and services in a variety of different ways to support the work of the agency. Donations can be used for the direct benefit of our participants, the maintenance of our homes or the administration of the agency. In addition, gifts in-kind or gifts of professional services can be used as raffle prizes or auction gifts at our two major annual fund-raising events. These types of gifts can be a great way to publicize your business and give back to the community. Contact our Development Office to find out what items are currently needed.
