Healed, Enriched and Renewed Through Housing
HEARTH, Mercy Haven’s supportive housing program, offers independent living with supportive services to 250 residents, including over 60 children. HEARTH currently operates in 115 units throughout Suffolk County. More than half of new people welcomed into supportive housing were living in shelters or on the street prior to finding Mercy Haven.
Housing specialists provide supportive services to assist residents with daily living skills like budgeting and health management. Through the formulation of individualized Support Plans, residents work on goals like accessing community resources, improving health and wellness, seeking educational and vocational training, obtaining advocacy for their civil legal emergencies, as well as strengthening budgeting knowledge and gaining life skills development.
