Purchased in 1998, Pleasant Gardens (PG) is staffed 24
hours a day, 7 days a week by knowledgeable, caring
individuals that create a “home” for 26 frail adults.
Personal care, housekeeping, laundry services, meals
and recreational activities are all provided for the
residents. This level of care is quite costly and although
the home is licensed by the Department of Health (DOH),
Pleasant Gardens does not receive state or federal
funding for its programs. Nevertheless, the quality of care
the residents receive is never compromised.
Bringing new ideas into the home, volunteers provide
services and activities to the residents. Private donations
through fundraising efforts help to keep this home
operating.
