NEWS:Ronkonkoma, NY, August 2008 - On August 13th 2008, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Mercy Haven, Inc., Sister Patricia Griffith will be inducted into the Suffolk County Women's Hall of Fame. Only five women are chosen among the 50 applicants for the honor.

DESCRIPTION: On the evening of August 13th, Sister Patricia Griffith, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Mercy Haven, Inc. will be inducted into the Suffolk County Women's Hall of Fame by County Executive Steve Levy. The Suffolk County Women's Hall of Fame has been "established as a tribute to outstanding women who have unselfishly devoted their energies and talents to the advancement and well being of the women in our County." Griffith, one of the five women to be inducted, has been a true humanitarian who has reached out locally, nationally, and world-wide to touch and positively impact the lives of the underserved, disadvantaged and tragically impacted.

There will be an induction and gala award dinner in honor of Sister Patricia Griffith, as well as the other recipients, on August 13th 2008 at Windows on the Lake in Ronkonkoma, NY, from 6 PM until 9 PM. The event will be coordinated by the Suffolk County Women's Services. Tickets can be purchased for $50.
